We would like tell you about an exciting summer program that will be taking place at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa, this summer from July 24 to August 17, 2017.

Technion’s SciTech summer program is an innovative curriculum for grade 11 and 12 high school students with a demonstrated interest and ability in science and technology. Now in its 24th year, SciTech gives young students the chance to carry out research in a broad range of fields alongside Israel’s top scientific researchers, while experiencing dormitory living and befriending peers from all over the world.

Participants work either individually or in small groups on a research project of their choice which is supervised by members of the Technion’s research staff. Projects are conducted in the Technion’s many departments of Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine and Architecture and make use of the state-of-the art research facilities located on campus.

Admission to the program is selective, and the research is rigorous — culminating in an oral presentation and written report for publication.

Because of a very generous donation from the Bernard and Norton Wolf Family Foundation, Technion is able to offer a limited number of tuition scholarships.

The total cost is USD$5,400, made up of $200 Non-refundable application fee and a $5,200 tuition fee. The tuition fee includes the program tuition, dormitory and cafeteria expenses, a copy of the SciTech 2016 proceedings, a complete health insurance plan, and all excursions during the program. There are no additional fees. Airfare is not included. Registration is open until February 15, 2017.

Application packages are available on line. (http://www.noar.technion.ac.il/index.php…)
