Riva Toeman

Riva Toeman attended MacDonald College, Concordia University, McGill University and Bar Ilan University. She is fluent in English, French and Yiddish. Prior to her retirement in 2016, Riva worked as an educator and book-keeper. Riva has extensive experience volunteering in the Montreal community. She served at the Mount Sinai Hospital as Treasurer, Financial Advisor, on the Advisory Council and President of the Auxiliary. Riva served on the Board of Directors for the YM-YWHA and held the position as Vice President on the Executive Committee. Currently, Riva serves on the Board of Trustees. She has served on the Board of Directors of Camp B’nai Brith. In Riva’s community engagement, she is involved with the Israeli community as well. She has been involved with Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel, since 1996. During her tenure, she has been the Chair of Montreal Programs for over 16 years and presently in on the National Board of Directors and the Chair for the Quebec Region.
