On February 7th, as we marked four months since the war began, Technion Canada united the community for a powerful night of solidarity with Israel, featuring Bassem Eid in conversation with Naomi Parness about the current situation in Israel. Whether you were with us in person, or joined virtually from coast to coast, your support resonates deeply with us!
Born in East Jerusalem, Eid’s unique perspective, shaped by his experiences during the first Intifada, promises a thought-provoking exploration of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
As the founder of the Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group, Eid has dedicated his life to exposing human rights violations. Facing arrests and attacks for his unwavering commitment, he has received prestigious awards, including the Emil Gruenzweig Memorial Award.
It was an unforgettable night as Bassem Eid shared his expertise on the conflict’s historical context, missed opportunities, and prospects for peace.
