Harold Garfinkle

National Treasurer

Harold Garfinkle has been a member of the Technion Canada Board of Directors since 1982. He is currently (and has been for more than 30 years) the Treasurer and the Chair of the Finance Committee. He is an Alternate Member of the Technion Board of Governors. He is a partner in SegalGCSE LLP, Chartered Accountants since 1989 (C.A. Quebec- 1978; C.A. Ontario-1980). His primary areas of client involvement include financial consulting, auditing and assurance services, business advisory and taxation. Concentration in manufacturing, production and technology-based companies.

He has long been involved in a variety of community institutions. He is a past ambassador, RPC committee member and member of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) Royal Patrons Circle (RPC), a past member of the Board of Directors of the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto where he served as their Treasurer, a past member of UJA Federation Board of Education of Toronto and member of their Finance Committee and Undesignated Funds Allocation Committee. In 2018, Harold received the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteerism in recognition of his contributions to his community. Administered by the Office of the Governor General, this medal is part of the Canadian Honours System and celebrates exceptional volunteer achievements in a wide range of fields.
