The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is the leading university in Israel in the field of Computer Science for 2025 and is ranked in the 101-125 range in the worldwide ranking, together with Tel Aviv University, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The rankings are based on extensive data that includes the universities’ performance in research, teaching, industry collaboration, and international engagement on a global scale.
This recognition of excellence supplements the Technion’s high ranking in CSRANKING, which measures top research publications from 2014 to 2024. In this ranking, the Technion is ranked first in Europe (and 25th globally) in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the overall ranking for all fields of Computer Science, the Technion is ranked first in Israel, fifth in Europe, and 34th worldwide.
“The ranking reflects our overall effort to remain at the forefront of global Computer Science,” said Prof. Danny Raz, dean of the Henry and Marilyn Taub Faculty of Computer Science. “The Technion is an essential part of Israel’s high-tech industry, and its graduates hold key positions in the ecosystem.”
Since its establishment, the Taub Faculty of Computer Science at the Technion has played a central role in Israel’s high-tech economy, and its researchers have contributed to groundbreaking advancements in a variety of fields. Today, approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students are enrolled in the Faculty. Its goal is to educate outstanding scientists and engineers – providing them with extensive foundational knowledge and strong engineering skills for developing managerial and technological expertise, enabling them to lead knowledge-intensive industries now and in the future.
